United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
At PHS we have incorporated the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into our curriculum throughout many subjects, and now there is a growing group of students who want to be more active in promoting the SDGs at PHS. The SDGs at PHS club was bornOver this term we aim to initiate and continue a series of initiatives to highlight the SDGs in school, and also to encourage students, teachers and parents at PHS to engage in changing our lifestyle to be more inline with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
This month, we have restarted the reusable bags scheme. Reusable bags will be hung on the rack by the school front door, by the Admin Office, for those going to the 7-11, or market. If you are heading out, please use one of these bags, so you don’t need to use single use plastic bags. Return it when finished so others can use it. This will reduce the number of single use plastic bags being brought into the school. These bags have a huge impact on the ocean and river biodiversity and are a major source of plastic pollution.
Going forward, we hope to bring further initiatives from the students’ activity into the school!
