M5 Community Support Field Trip 2019

Each year M5 is tasked with raising money to pay for a group of students from a disadvantaged blind school to join them on a camp. This includes fundraising, the PHS Fund-Fair and organising activities for the trip.

This year the school joining us was the Nakorn Ratchasima School for the Blind. 28 students from the School, ranging from P1-M4 joined us on the camp. As ever, swimming was one of the popular activities on the first day. Everybody had fun cooling off in the water. In the evening, PHS students proudly presented their artwork for the blind to the students followed by some karaoke.  On the second day the students ran their activities, baking cookies is always the most popular activity.

Before heading home, the PHS students took the students from the blind school to Chokchai Farm to play with the animals, ride the horses and eat as much ice-cream as they could.

It was a very successful trip -with some great memories for everybody. PHS 4 raised almost 135,000 Baht in total and will contribute the remaining money to help Nakorn Ratchasima School for the Blind develop a Science Lab in the school.

It was a fantastic and rewarding trip which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone involved. The experience has no doubt enhanced the lives of students from both schools. To view the full photo gallery, please visit our Facebook page.
