M5 Community Support Camp
This year the M5 community support camp was with the Nakorn Ratchasima school for the blind. Our students had prepared themselves for 2 days in which they would be spending time with blind students, helping their buddy with a series of activities created for these blind students to enjoy the camp.
After some training, PHS students were introduced to their buddies and the activities began. On the first afternoon a trip to a local swimming pool was hugely successful with everybody enjoying the slide and the cool water in the hot sunshine. After swimming, snacks and cold drinks were handed out to all. In the evening students did some games and activities and then presented their art for the visually impaired. This activity was very successful and the teachers from Nakorn Ratchasima school for the blind expressed how impressed they were with our students work.
After an early start and a walk around the camp the PHS students sets up their activities for the blind students. Once again the teachers from the blind school we’re very impressed with how much work the students have put into their activities and were excited to take these games back to the school. All the students enjoyed making their cookies and the science activity was a big favorite with many of the students.
After lunch the student set off for chok chai farm, we fed the animals and indulged everybody in ice cream. The students from Nakorn Ratchasima sang a wonderful song of thanks which had many of the PHS students in tears.
The total for this year is over B 220,000.
