PHS Leadership Camp AY2024

The students from M2 -M6 joined the annual PHS Leadership camp, held in Kanchanaburi in collaboration with SUP Hire Thailand. This year we had a smaller group go, and only M6 and M2 Students. We used this opportunity to try some new activities. The Hike was changed to a waterfall walk and we switched our camping location. Along the way, new activities were added onto the SUP that takes place over the two days. These activities certainly gave the students new skills and confidence in themselves.

The weather was hot, as it always is, but as we were in water almost all of the first and second day this didn't affect our students. The walk up Erawan waterfall was in the cool forest and students were able to jump into the cool water at level 3. Along the way students learned about teaching and leading others, making decisions and being responsible for others. Throughout the camp, they took part in cycling, paddle boarding and hiking, whilst learning first aid, CPR, bush cooking, camping and other essential skills.

This year's camp, with the changes certainly seemed to fly by and we had so much fun at the campsite and on the river. It is tiring and hard work, but everyone enjoyed the activities. On the last night we had a BBQ and students shared their thoughts with each other.

This was a fantastic Leadership Camp and very successful, we will continue to develop this great program!
