Mycology Field Trip : Fresh & Friendly Farm

The students from the Mycology club recently went to a mushroom farm. They learned about innoculating mushroom spawn, growing mushrooms and seeing the different mushroom variations. The students got a lunch box from the farm that had sushi and grilled mushrooms that were grown on the farm.

Finally the students got to go on a tour of the mushroom farm growing stations and packaging area. The farm gave each student a mushroom grow bag that they could take home to harvest their own mushrooms.

The trip was an overall success and the students enjoyed themselves. They also got to learn more about mushrooms!
